Simple models

As part of their Bachelor Practical Course in the winterterm 2007, Andreas Böhler, Peter Opuchlik and Markus Roth scanned several models of different geometric complexity.

They documented the scanning process.

Scanners: Minolta VI-900 and Polhemus FastScan

Swan

A small china swan of low geometric complexity. The scanned data has 113K vertices, and is available in PLY and VRML format.

Raccon skull

A raccon's skull of considerable geometric complexity. The scanned data is split into the lower jaw with 72K vertices (PLY and VRML) and the remainder of the skull with 93K vertices (PLY and VRML).

Chinese wine bottle

A chinese wine bottle of low geometric complexity.

Ply format 528K vertices 98K vertices
VRML format 528K vertices 98K vertices

Sculpture

A small china swan of intermediate geometric complexity. The scanned data has 181K vertices, and is available in PLY and VRML format.

Wooden mask

A wooden mask of low geometric complexity.

Ply format 321K vertices 115K vertices
VRML format 321K vertices 115K vertices

Little statue

A little statue of low geometric complexity.

Ply format 170K vertices 88K vertices
VRML format 170K vertices 88K vertices

Dog

A little dog of low geometric complexity.

Ply format 409K vertices 101K vertices
VRML format 409K vertices 101K vertices
